Understanding your money reports
These reports cover everything about money moving through your clinic — what's come in, what's still owed, and where it's coming from. Each one answers a specific question, so start with the one that matches what you're actually trying to find out.
| Report | What it answers |
|---|---|
| Daily takings | What came in today, broken down by payment method. |
| Payment summary | Every payment received, of any type, over a period. |
| Outstanding balances | Who owes money, aged into 0-30, 31-60, 61-90, and 90+ day bands. |
| Practice revenue | Total revenue, viewed either as accrual or cash-basis. |
| Revenue by service | Which services are actually earning the most. |
| Tax summary | Tax collected, at your clinic's configured rate. |
| Discounts & refunds | Every write-down applied, and who approved it. |
| Patient credit balances | How much credit is currently held per patient. |
| Uninvoiced appointments | Completed visits that were never billed. |
| Patients by total spend | Your highest lifetime spenders. |
Where to start
For a daily cash-up, start with Daily takings. For chasing money you're owed, go straight to Outstanding balances. For catching billing gaps before they're forgotten, check Uninvoiced appointments regularly — it's the easiest way to notice a completed visit that never turned into an invoice.
Reading and filtering these reports
Every report here can be filtered by location, and most by date range as well; several also let you compare against the previous period. See how to read a report for the controls shared across all of them.
