Why this is worth getting right
A patient's legal name isn't always the name they go by, and getting pronouns right matters to the people you're caring for. Recording both properly means the rest of your clinic follows it consistently, rather than everyone having to remember individually.
Where to record it
On the patient's details, set their preferred name and pronouns alongside their legal name.

Where it's used
Once set, a patient's preferred name is shown throughout ClinyPal — on the calendar, in their record, and in outgoing messages — in place of their legal first name. Their legal name is kept on file wherever it's specifically required, like billing.
Keeping it current
If a patient's preferred name or pronouns change, update them the same way — the change takes effect everywhere they're used straight away.
