What a case is for

A case groups together everything related to one episode of care — a course of treatment, an injury, a package of sessions — so its appointments and invoices are tracked as a set rather than scattered across the patient's whole history.

Start a case

Open the patient's Cases and choose New case. Give it a title and a description of what it covers.

Choose a limit, if you need one

Choose Unlimited for an open-ended case, or set a cap if it should stop at a certain point — a maximum number of appointments, or a maximum amount that can be invoiced against it.

Once a case exists, you can attach it when you book an appointment or create an invoice for this patient. The case keeps a running count of appointments and total invoiced, so you can see how it's tracking against its limit.

If a case goes over its limit

You'll be warned, not blocked If a case passes its appointment or spend limit, ClinyPal calls this out clearly on the case so you notice — it's a warning to review, not something that stops you from continuing to work.

Closing and reopening a case

Choose Close once the episode of care is finished. A closed case is kept for the record with the date it was closed; choose Reopen if it turns out more work is needed after all.
