Why your Settings menu might look different

ClinyPal tailors the navigation and Settings menu to your role. If you don't see a settings link that's mentioned elsewhere in the help center, this is almost always why — it's role-gated, and you'll need an Administrator to grant access or make the change for you.

What you'll learn
  • The staff roles in ClinyPal and what each one generally covers
  • Which specific Settings pages are Administrator-only
  • Which pages are open to both Administrators and Power Receptionists
  • What to do if you're missing access you think you need

The roles

  • Administrator — the main owner/admin role, with full access across the system.
  • Power Receptionist — a receptionist role with elevated access to some administrative areas beyond standard staff.
  • General staff roles — practitioners and other team members with standard access to day-to-day work, but not the administrative pages listed below.

Everything else follows standard access Settings pages not listed in the table above are generally visible to staff with standard access. This list covers the specific pages that are restricted beyond that.
Comparison of Administrator and general staff Settings menus
Two side-by-side Settings menus — an Administrator's full menu including Users & Practitioners, Clinic Departments, Subscription, and Patient Privacy Settings, versus a general staff member's shorter menu without those links.

If you're missing access

If you expect to see a settings link and it isn't there, check with your clinic's Administrator. They can review your role and, if appropriate, grant you access — see Editing a User for how role changes are made.
