Signing in to ClinyPal is deliberately unremarkable: enter your email and password, and you're in. The interesting part isn't the happy path — it's the handful of things that can appear along the way that aren't errors, just steps you haven't seen before. This article covers both, so a normal overlay or an extra verification screen doesn't read as something going wrong.
What you'll learn
How to sign in with your email and password
What the verifying overlay is, and how long it should take
When and why you'll be redirected to a one-time code step

Why you might be sent to a one-time code next
Not every ClinyPal account works exactly the same way after this point. Whether one-time passcode verification is required is a security setting tied to the account, not something that varies randomly or by browser — so if you're redirected to it consistently, that's simply how your account is configured, and if a colleague never sees it, theirs is configured differently.
You may be redirected to a one-time code step If your account requires it, you'll be redirected to OTP verification immediately after entering your password, rather than going straight to your dashboard. This is expected behavior, not an error state.
Not every account requires the one-time code step. Whether you're redirected to it depends on your account's security settings, not on anything you're doing differently — see <a href="/account-security/otp-verification/">OTP Verification</a> for what that step looks like.
It's normally brief, just a moment while your credentials are checked. If it doesn't clear after a short wait, refresh the page and try signing in again.
This is a security setting tied to your account rather than a personal preference toggle. If you believe it should be changed, check with your clinic's administrator.
