What a passkey does
A passkey lets you sign in using your device's own unlock method — a fingerprint, face recognition, or your screen lock — instead of typing a password. It's tied to your device and can't be reused elsewhere the way a leaked password can.
Add a passkey
Go to your Passkeys settings and choose Add passkey, then follow your device's own prompt to confirm with your fingerprint, face, or screen lock.
Signing in with it
On future sign-ins, choose the passkey option and confirm with your device. A passkey is strong enough on its own to satisfy two-factor authentication, so you won't be asked for a separate code as well.
Managing your passkeys
Add more than one if you sign in from several devices — a laptop and a phone, for example. Remove a passkey you no longer use, particularly if the device it belonged to was lost or replaced.
