Joining your visit from wherever you are

Your telehealth visit happens right from your browser using the link your clinic sent you — no app to download, nothing to install, and nothing to configure ahead of time. If video calls generally make you a little nervous about the technology side of things, the good news is there really isn't a technology side to worry about here: you click the link, and everything else is designed to just work.

Here's exactly what to expect, in the order you'll experience it, so nothing catches you off guard.

What you'll learn
 • What you'll see while you wait for your doctor to join
 • How the simple call controls work
 • What it looks like if your doctor sends you something to fill out
 • What it means if you see a drawing appear on your screen
 • What happens when the visit ends

While you're waiting for your doctor

When you first join, you'll see a friendly "Waiting for your doctor" screen with a gentle animated indicator. This just lets you know the call itself is working correctly and you've arrived safely — you're simply waiting for your practitioner to join from their side. There's nothing you need to do here, refresh, or click; the call connects automatically the moment they arrive, and you'll be moved straight into the conversation.

Your call controls

Once your doctor joins, you'll see a small, simple set of controls — nothing complicated to figure out, and nothing hidden behind menus you'd need to hunt for.

 • Mic — mute or unmute yourself.
 • Camera — turn your camera on or off.
 • Attach (paperclip) — share a file with your doctor, like a photo of a symptom you want them to see clearly.
 • Chat — open a chat panel to type messages during the call, handy if you'd rather write something down than say it out loud.
About your camera and microphone Your browser will ask permission before your camera or microphone can be used for the call — this is a normal, standard step, and only your own browser controls it, not ClinyPal or your clinic. Nothing is shared without your say-so, and it's only ever used for the call itself, never recorded or sent anywhere else.

If your doctor sends you something to fill out

Sometimes your doctor may send you a quick item to fill out right in the chat, without needing to interrupt the conversation to explain it — a short consent checklist, a simple 0-10 pain scale, or a brief form about how you're feeling. Each one appears with its own Submit button, so just answer it and submit whenever you're ready. There's no separate app or page to navigate to; it all happens right there in the call.

If you see a drawing appear on your screen

If your doctor wants to point something out — say, showing you exactly where on the body they mean, or how far up a treated area extends — you may see a drawing appear live on your screen as they sketch it, along with a small notice that fades away after a few seconds. This is just your doctor illustrating something to help explain more clearly. It's read-only on your side, so there's nothing you need to do with it other than take a look — if anything is unclear, it's always fine to just ask.

When the visit ends

1

Click Leave when you're done

This ends your side of the visit.

2

Review your visit summary

A short summary appears covering what was discussed, your care plan, and any follow-up — a plain-language recap of the visit generated right after your call ends.

3

Download it if you'd like

You can save the summary for your own records, so you have something to look back on later if you forget a detail.
