Writing a treatment note
A treatment note is your clinical record of a visit. Open the patient's Notes and choose New note. If the appointment's type has a linked template, it opens pre-filled with the right structure.
Save a draft, or complete it
Choose Save draft if you're not finished — you can come back and pick up where you left off. Choose Save & complete once the note is finished and ready to stand as the clinical record.
After it's saved
From a saved note you can export it as a PDF, or Send it — useful when a copy needs to go to a referring doctor or another provider involved in the patient's care.
Knowing who wrote and edited what
Every note keeps a record of who created it and when, which template it used, and who last edited it if it's changed since. This matters for clinical accountability — anyone reviewing the note later can see exactly where it came from.
Archiving a note
Archive a note that shouldn't be part of the everyday view — it stays part of the patient's history and can still be found if you show archived notes.
