Why this needs a step first
Removing someone as a practitioner isn't a single click if they have appointments booked ahead — ClinyPal walks you through each one first, so nothing is left orphaned on the calendar.
If they have no upcoming appointments
Choose to remove the practitioner from their profile. If there's nothing booked ahead, you're told it's safe to proceed and can confirm immediately.
If they have appointments booked
Every upcoming appointment is listed with a decision to make: reassign it to another practitioner, skip it to handle later, or cancel it outright.
For a quick reassignment, choose one practitioner to reassign everything to at once — this only offers practitioners who can genuinely take every appointment in the list, so nothing is reassigned somewhere it can't actually go.
Reassigning to someone not yet set up for that type
If the practitioner you want to reassign to isn't yet enabled for that appointment type, you can still choose them — ClinyPal enables that appointment type for them as part of confirming the change.
Finishing up
You can't confirm until every appointment has a decision — the count of anything still unresolved is shown clearly so you don't miss one. Once everything is decided, confirm to deactivate the practitioner and apply every reassignment, skip, and cancellation together.
