Reminder templates control the automated message sent ahead of an upcoming appointment, based on your clinic's configured lead time. Unlike a confirmation, which fires the moment an appointment is booked, a reminder fires later — as the appointment approaches — to reduce no-shows and give the patient one more heads-up before they're due in.
