Bringing your data in

Whether you're moving from another system or just bringing in a spreadsheet someone's been keeping, importing walks you through three steps: choose your file, match its columns, and preview before anything is saved.

Choose what and where

Go to Import data, choose the type of data you're bringing in, the location it belongs to, and upload your file.

Match your columns

ClinyPal reads your file and suggests a match for each column automatically. Review the suggestions and correct any that guessed wrong, so every column ends up mapped to the right field.

Preview before it's saved

Before anything is imported, review a preview of exactly how your data will look once it's brought in. This is your chance to catch a mapping mistake before it becomes hundreds of incorrect records.

After it's imported

Check the import history to confirm how many records came in successfully, and review any errors so you know what, if anything, needs fixing manually.
