Letting patients know about a cancellation

A cancellation email confirms to the patient that their appointment is no longer scheduled, so they're not left guessing or turning up to a visit that isn't happening.

Create the template

Go to your settings and open Cancellation email templates, add a new one, and give it a clear name.

Write the subject and content

Write the subject and body, using the available placeholders for the appointment's details. Keep the tone clear and reassuring, and mention how the patient can rebook if that's something you want to encourage.

When it's sent

This email goes out whenever you cancel an appointment for an appointment type that has cancellation emails switched on.
